Mini DIY Hand Crank Generator Bulb STEM Science Experiment Kit & Educational Model for Kids Gift Toy Learning Project
DESCRIPTION
Suitable age: 8+
Product features:
Manually rotating the large disk drives the generator to rotate and realizes output power.
Can light bulbs.
Features:
Interesting science and education works, exercise manual brain skills, show the working principle of hand-cranked power generation, light up low-power bulbs, and can also demonstrate the charging effect of mobile phones

Step-by-Step Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Identify all parts

Lay out all the wood plates, motor module, booster module, LED lamp, belts, screws, nuts, and wires included in the kit.

Step 2: Assemble the main wheel plates

Attach plate 2 and plate 3 to plate 4 using 8mm screws.
Note: place plate 2 in the middle layer.

Step 3: Install the long T21 pin and large gear

Insert the long T21 metal pin through the large gear assembly.

Step 4: Lock the gear with the T21 pin

Push the T21 pin through the middle gap of the wheel assembly from Step 3 to secure the 5# wheel plate.

Step 5: Attach the 6# wood support plate

Mount the fan-shaped 6# plate to the wheel assembly.

Step 6: Attach large rubber drive belt

Loop the large belt around the main crank wheel.

Step 7: Assemble the 7# support plate

Attach the triangular 7# plate to the wheel assembly as a side support.

Step 8: Construct the vertical lamp stand (Plates 10 & 11)

Stack and fix plate 10 and plate 11 with 7mm screws to make the vertical lamp holder frame.

Step 9: Wire Motor & Booster Module

Connect the motor and the voltage boost module with the red and black wires provided.

Step 10: Fix Motor Assembly to Base Plate 1

Fix the wired motor module to the 1# base plate, which is marked with a cross, using 4mm screws.

Step 11: Mount the Lamp Stand Frame to Base Plate 1

Fix the vertical lamp stand (made in step 8) to base plate 1 using 7mm screws.

Step 12: Install LED Lamp

Fix the white LED lamp on top of the vertical stand, and connect its wires to the booster module.

Step 13: Fix Crank Wheel Assembly to the Base

Assemble the complete crankshaft unit onto base plate 1 and fix it with 7mm screws.

Step 14: Install Small Rubber Drive Belt

Loop the small belt between the crank wheel and the motor driving wheel.

Step 15: Final Complete Assembly Check

Check that all wires are connected properly, belts are tight, and all wooden frames are securely fixed.

Step 16: Install Bottom Rubber Feet

Adhere rubber footpads to the bottom of base plate 1 to complete the assembly.

4. Extended Science Knowledge: Types of Electricity Generation

  1. Thermal Power Plants
Burn fuel to heat water into high-pressure steam. The steam drives turbines to rotate, converting thermal energy into mechanical energy. Turbines drive generators to convert mechanical energy into electricity.
  2. Hydroelectric Power Plants
Flowing water drives generators to transmit power. Dams are commonly constructed with stone or concrete barriers to control flooding and regulate stable water flow.
  3. Nuclear Power Plants
Nuclear fission in reactors releases thermal energy. The heat produces steam following the same workflow as in thermal power plants; the nuclear reactor replaces coal-fired boilers.
  4. Wind Farm (Wind Power)
Harnesses wind power to rotate turbine generators. Wind power is a clean, renewable energy source.
  5. Tidal Power Plant
A branch of hydropower that extracts energy from the daily rises and falls of tidal water levels.
  6. Geothermal Power Plant
Takes heat from underground hot rock layers, hot springs, and geothermal steams as the primary energy source.
